Promoted to Independent A following the WGI-Kansas City Regional
The performers and staff of Majestic independent are thrilled to be given the opportunity to move to Independent A; a division that will help push our performers to the next level!
Majestic Independent is a winter guard based out of Columbia, Missouri. The team is comprised of 16 students from Battle HS, Rock Bridge HS, Jefferson City HS, and Mizzou. Performers range from high school freshmen (performing their first winter guard season!) to college freshmen. Majestic Independent premiered in 2015 and were Gold Medalist in Independent Regional A.
Their 2016 production, titled “The Attempt,” follows a soloist as she has a conversation with death. Performing to the song “Salvation” by Gabrielle Alpin, the soloist is surrounded by performers moving effortlessly through life together. She tries to fit in while also trying to determine whether or not she can go on living.
Majestic Independent is under the direction of Christina Thalhuber with additional assistance by John Miller, Jessica Ruud, and Taylor Stamos.
