Congratulations to Hickman High School, reclassified to Scholastic AA following the Feb. 7 WGI Regional in Kansas City!
Hickman High School Winter Guard had a successful 2025 season in Scholastic Regional A with their program titled “Chasing the Rhythm.” They took 1st place in both prelims and finals at WGI Kansas City and 3rd place in both prelims and finals at WGI Chicago. The program highlighted Stevie Nicks’ “Rhiannon” and played into the energetic atmosphere of the 70s with Stevie’s tambourine.
For the 2026 season, their program titled “Don’t Speak” premiered strong at WGI Kansas City with a 1st place finish in both prelims and finals. The program features the emotional backstory of No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” with an element of 90s alternative rock. They are excited for the opportunity to showcase their skills in Scholastic AA in MCCGA and Scholastic A in WGI.
