Promoted Week 2 from Scholastic C to Scholastic B following the Mascoutah and Republic Festivals
The Eureka High school winter guard is humbled to present their 2016 program entitled “Fly to Paradise.” This was piece was written by Mr. Eric Whitacre and has been adapted for his famous virtual choir.
“The Virtual Choir is a global phenomenon, creating a user-generated choir that brings together singers from around the world and their love of music in a new way through the use of technology.
Singers record and upload their videos from locations all over the world. Each one of the videos is then synchronised and combined into one single performance to create the Virtual Choir.”
The unit of 14 performers takes the audience through a ride above the clouds with this powerful virtual choir arrangement. The unit is under the direction of Jason Bergman with additional assistance from Bryan White (Show design/Choreography) and Maggie McNair (Movement Tech). Eureka is also very excited to be making their first appearance at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH.
