Parkview Emerald’s show is called “The Walls We Built” which uses the musical arrangements brick by brick by Cynthia Erivo and Adagio in C minor. This seasons show is The Walls We Built which explores the instinct to protect ourselves when trust is broken and boundaries are crossed.
As humans, we learn quickly. When we are hurt, judged, misunderstood, or invaded — we respond. We build. Not out of weakness, but survival. The walls are not physical structures — they are emotional armor.
When those boundaries are challenged, our guards rise higher. The performers embody the tension between vulnerability and self-preservation — asking: Is protection the same as isolation? When does defense become identity?
Rather than tearing the walls down, this show examines the power behind them. Sometimes strength isn’t about letting people in — it’s about knowing when to hold the line.
We built these walls for a reason.
We are honored for the reclassification from Scholastic AA to Scholastic A this season, and we look forward to the challenges and growth that lies ahead.
